FAQ for Mentors

The program will require a 3-month commitment from both mentor and mentee. The number of meetings during this time will be up to the mentor and mentee to negotiate. However, based on past program effectiveness we recommend 12 meetings with the mentor.
ScholarX is a free program conducted by volunteer mentors who generously offer their time to support the next generation of change makers in Sri Lanka.
We acknowledge that each individual mentee is at a different stage of their career and learning pathway. So we encourage both parties to have an open and honest conversation to identify the direction and expertise required to customize their mentoring. Topics past groups have requested include:

  • Collaborating with the mentor on a project
  • General career advice
  • Higher study options to align with career path in academia or professional line of work.
