The International Research Council (IRC) is a community created by the Sustainable Education Foundation (SEF) to showcase the work of Sri Lankan researchers. One of the main goals of IRC is to provide a digital platform to connect our community of researchers who are actively pursuing research projects in various fields all over the world.

SEF attracts a strong following of undergraduate and postgraduate students who are mostly confined to our local education system that encourage traditional careers. The IRC can act as a catalyst for these students to get insight to the wide array of possibilities available in the research space and even steer towards an academic career. Having a strong community of researchers can also assist students to find or connect with higher studies and research opportunities all over the world.
Any researcher of Sri Lankan origin who have completed or are currently working on an approved research proposal ideally pursuing postgraduate studies or a doctoral degree.
No, But in order to be featured on our social media channels, we expect you to be conducting impactful research that cover one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
